IAIS is a week-long event featuring exhibitions, free learning sessions, and interactive games designed to enhance students’ IL skills and raising awareness on the critical role of information literacy in their pursuit of academic and research excellence. This year's IAIS program is centered on achieving a deeper understanding of the responsible and ethical use of AI-driven resources within academic settings.

The primary objectives of the discussion include:

  • to analyze the ethical, social, and civic implications of AI by identifying specific examples and discussing their consequences;
  • to demonstrate an understanding of the potential benefits and risks of AI applications in education and decision-making; and, 
  • to develop strategies for responsible AI implementation, and evaluate AI-driven outcomes to ensure human values and oversight are prioritized.
