[LIBRARIES] PodStarter: Shaping Thoughts into Sound (Podcasting Training Session) In-Person / Online

In this hands-on podcasting workshop, students will learn the basics of planning, recording, editing, and producing their own podcast. By the end of the session, participants will produce a 3-5 minute pilot episode. This hybrid training aims to foster a deeper engagement with literature by encouraging students to share their insights through podcasting. It also introduces essential multimedia skills, supports creative storytelling, and builds confidence in public speaking and self-expression.

  • Onsite @ The Learning Commons, 8th Floor Makerspace, Henry Sy Sr. Hall (HSSH)
  • Online via Zoom


Objectives:

  • To foster a deeper engagement with literature by transforming reading into a dynamic, interactive activity that encourages students to share their insights and perspectives through podcasting.
  • To introduce students to essential podcasting and multimedia skills, empowering them to create content for school projects, personal interests, and future professional pursuits.
  • To enhance students’ abilities in public speaking, self-expression, and creative storytelling, provide hands-on experience in communicating ideas clearly and confidently through podcasts.

All personal information, such as name, college/office/unit, and patron type, collected from this online registration form will be used by the Libraries for the following purposes:
• to send a reminder to confirm attendance
• to include the name of the participant in the certificate
• to profile participants by college/department/program in the library term report.

Access to your personal information is limited to authorized personnel of the Libraries. The collected personal information will be properly disposed of one month after the event.

All photos and videos collected during the event will be used for documentation and uploaded/published in the social media accounts, Library Newsette, and website of the Libraries.
